In CHEQROOM, you can use the self-service module for situations where you want individuals to have (very) limited access to equipment bookings.

They let you save time by avoiding being the middle-man. You can let self-service users do basic tasks themselves. For example, make their own reservations and / or check-outs. 

Users with the self-service role can:

  • Access CHEQROOM from their mobile device or laptop
  • Make equipment reservations (optional -- depends on configuration)
  • Check out equipment (optional -- depends on configuration)

Users with the self-service role cannot:

  • View other contacts' or users' bookings

Enabling the Self-service add-on

  • Click Settings in the bottom left corner of your screen
  • Click Add-ons
  • Scroll down to Self-service
  • Make sure it's activated

Adjusting the Self-service user's permissions

  • Click Settings in the bottom left corner of your screen
  • Click Permissions
  • Check or Uncheck boxes for the Self-service role
  • Click Save

*Note: if you leave all the boxes unchecked, once they are invited to the account, a self-service user will only see the availability of the Items and Kits.
