We do support the new DYMO Connect software but we don't recommend it because it currently misses some important features.

If you have it installed, you may find that you can't specify reference names anymore when you design your own labels and it also doesn't support custom DYMO label templates that are sold by some retailers. Another issue that also can happen is that the text on your labels is cut off.

Please install the latest version of DYMO Label Software v8.7.x for your platform instead.

Below are some issues that can occur when using DYMO Connect:

Unsupported DYMO Connect label

You receive this error because you are trying to print a label that was created with the new DYMO Connect software on a computer which has a DYMO Label Service installed on it.

You have 2 options to resolve this issue:

  1. Create the label with the DYMO Label Software and upload it again to CHEQROOM

  2. Remove DYMO Label Software and install DYMO Connect

Unsupported custom label

You receive this error because you’re trying to print a custom DYMO label with the new DYMO Connect software, which is currently not supported.

Please use DYMO Label Software if you plan to use custom DYMO label templates.

Text on the labels is cut off

If you are having issues with the text not being auto-fitted anymore when previewing or printing a DYMO label, then this is probably caused because the label was created with the DYMO Label Software and you are trying to print it on a computer with the DYMO Connect service installed on it.

You have 2 options to resolve this issue:

  1. Remove DYMO Connect and install the DYMO Label Software

  2. Open the label in DYMO Connect and apply the auto fit option again on the fields that you want the text to be auto-fitted on
