Cheqroom is going to revolutionize your work flow, save you money and free up your time to focus on creating. The most important step in making this happen is successfully adding your equipment inventory to your account. Here are some ways you can add your inventory to best fit you or your organization's needs.

Adding Items Manually

If you don't have many items to add, you can add them one by one by following these steps.

Don't forget to take advantage of our customizable fields to have more information about an item available. Click here to learn how it's done. πŸ’ͺ🏻

Duplicating Items

You can bulk add the same item to your inventory by duplicating your existing items regardless of if you added them manually or by import.

Importing Items With A Spreadsheet

When you have tons of gear to add to your account, adding them by import is a huge timesaver. Prepare your spreadsheet for import by following these steps, and once your spreadsheet is ready, you can import your inventory with one click.

Fields You Can Import

When importing items from a spreadsheet, you can import the following fields:

  • Name (required – at least 3 characters)

  • Brand

  • Model

  • Purchase price

  • Purchase date (formatted like 09/23/2016 )

  • Barcode (between 4 and 24 alphanumeric characters)

  • Category (split multiple levels e.g. Recording equipment/Microphones) More here.

  • Flag (at least 2 characters) - read more here.

  • Kit Name Β (at least 3 characters) - read more here.

  • Custom Fields you've set up - read more here.

Setting Item Availability

Once you've finished creating your inventory in Cheqroom ( πŸŽ‰), you now have the freedom to manage it as you need. With the availability feature, you can decide which items can be used in a reservation or not. For example, if you have a lot of small gear that you'd like to keep in your inventory for quota purposes but prefer that users not be able to add them to a reservation, you can now do this by marking them as unavailable. You can also decide which items can be only used in a check-out or taken into custody. Read more here. πŸ‘ˆπŸ»

Note: Only Users with Permissions to Import Items will be able to import
