Add custom fields to your Items so you can add more information

Configuration

Creating a custom field for Items

  • Go to your Settings in the bottom left corner of your screen

  • Click Fields

  • Make sure you selected Items and click Add field:

  • Choose your field type

  • Enter the field name

  • Choose to make the field appear when adding a new item

  • Choose to make the field required

  • Choose to add this field as a filter option for all users

  • Click Add field

  • You can change the order of the fields by clicking on the left side of the field name and moving it up or down

Using Item Fields

Filling in custom fields for a new Item

  1. Click Items, next click New Item

  2. Fill in the required fields (basic and custom fields)

  3. Click Add (top of the screen)

Updating custom fields of an existing Item

  1. Click Items and select an Item

  2. Go to the Info tab

  3. Modify one or more fields by clicking on it and typing or clearing its value

  4. The Item is automatically saved

Updating custom fields of many Items at once

  1. Click Items in the Table view

  2. Select multiple Items using the checkboxes

  3. Click Bulk actions, next click Edit items...

  4. Update the values of one or more fields

  5. Click Update to save your changes
