As a user in a User group, you can only access specific item groups. The items assigned to your User group are the ones you have permission to add to a Reservation or Check-out in Cheqroom.
In this article, we cover
Creating a reservation with Equipment Access
The reservation process continues to be the same; please look at the details about Reservations here.
In your navigation bar, go to the Reservation tab.
Click on New reservation.
Fill in the details (dates, extra info).
Click on Add items.
👉 By default Cheqroom only shows the items you have access to.
Select the items you need for your reservation.
Click on Add items or kits.
To finalize your reservation click on Reserve.
View restricted items
When in a Reservation, users can opt to view restricted items.
Restricted items are the items you don't have access to. You can identify them with the orange Restricted modal.
Unavailable items are those in use or assigned to other users - in custody, in an open check-out, reserved, or flagged. You can identify them with the red modal.
Adding restricted items to a reservation
As a user, you can select and add restricted items to your draft reservation. However, if your User role does not have permission to ignore restrictions, any restricted items you have added will be automatically removed from the reservation when you finish it.
Ignoring Equipment Access conflicts
As an admin, you can create reservations for users. You can override restrictions if you are an admin or a user with certain permissions.
Create your reservation.
When finished, click on Reserve.
A modal will pop up. To ignore the conflict, click on the toggle.
Finish by clicking on Reserve.
The restricted item is now part of the reservation.
Roles with permission to override conflicts
Only the account owner and workspace admins (system roles) can ignore conflicts. However, ignoring conflicts can be enabled for reservations/check-outs as a separate permission. This means that you can create custom roles that can also ignore conflicts.
